Traverser le temps : un super-héros à la cour du roi Arthur

Abstract : Unlike most adaptations of ancient characters which simply set them in present time, the integration of the arthurian myth in Marvel's and DC Comics' universe often uses time travel. It can be backward in time, as Iron Man does in a remake of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (Marvel, 1981 ), giving myth the value of historical reality on a diegetique level. It can also be forward in time, as shown in Camelot 3000 by Mike W. Barr and Brian Bolland (DC Comics, 1982-1985). With the temporal and geographical cultural transfer implied by those publications, a game of similarities and differences is incepted, renewing the sociopolitical power of the myth.
