Évaluer l’expérience utilisateur d’un web-documentaire : articuler utilisabilité et construit de sens

Abstract : The study presents a systemic evaluation model about the quality of users’ experience (UX) concerning an interactive documentary (i-doc). The first section summarises socio-semiotic issues regarding how different actors are seen as been involved in the design of the France Télévisions (2012) co-produced i-doc B4, fenêtres sur tour. The second section explicates the epistemological and methodological approach used in the user tests. The aim was to analyze documentarising and ludicising reading contracts used in the i-doc navigation. The study then focused on usability problems, which prevented users to appropriate the i-doc. Finally, the evaluation highlights i-doc users’ sensemaking processes. Comparisons of the gap between prescribed usage and empirical usage were conducted. This led to the study advancing methodological recommendations for the design of interactive audiovisual works.
