Co-operative agent design in a technological watch context

Résumé

Internet technologies and company networks have contributed towards the boom in electronic documents which are often accessible to all internet users. For most companies, an essential objective is now to be the first to find the information required. It has become extremely important to own a rapid information search and distribution tool. Admittedly, tools have already been suggested, such as search engines, meta-engines, and, more recently, information agents, capable of searching for, sorting and filtering information. But teams of human actors searching for information need teams of agents which act in a co-operative manner. In this paper, we present a system integrating co-operative information agents for co-operative technological watch. A first prototype has been designed and is currently being used in a large company.
