Etude expérimentale du changement de phase liquide/vapeur dans un milieu poreux d’une boucle diphasique à pompage capillaire

Abstract : This paper presents an experimental study on the heat and mass transfer with phase change in a porous media made of copper foam. The aim of this work is to study the effect of the adverse hydrostatic head and the wick properties (porosity, average pore diameter) on the heat and mass transfer inside the porous media. The experimental results show that an increase in the adverse hydrostatic head causes an increase in the casing temperature and reduces the heat transfer coefficient. For the wick properties effects, it is found that the porosity and the average pore diameter have a significant impact on the phase change phenomenon inside the porous wick and the casing temperature.
