Simulation numérique des échanges convectifs locaux entre un jet d’air cylindrique isotherme et un cylindre chauffé

Abstract : This study deals with the numerical simulation of convective heat transfer between an isothermal impinging air jet and a heated cylinder. The numerical model, developed with STARCCM+, is validated by the comparison with the literature results like Mean Nusselt numbers, stagnation Nusselt number or the tangential reparation of local Nusselt numbers on the axis of jet. This study aims to complete the knowledges about the convective heat transfer by supplying Nusselt number maps over the whole surface of the cylinder and analyze evolutions regarding different parameters such as impact distance and diameter ratios
