Contribution au développement d'une méthodologie simplifiée d'aide au design collision des véhicules de transport pendant la phase de préconception : introduction du concept de super éléments de pliage

Abstract : In the pre-design phase, transport vehicle manufacturers want to have access to a simplified methodology for simulating collision behavior. The global or hybrid approach, based on the use of non-linear bars and springs to model large compression and bending deformations, meets this expectation. However, it is penalized by the need to use heavy means to feed these equivalent elements. In the case of thin-walled prismatic profiles loaded in axial compression, in order to quickly obtain the stress-strain characteristic we decided to use an analytical method by kinematic models. At the end of a bibliographical research, the generalized mixed model developed by Wierzbicki and Abramowicz, appears to be the most efficient. However, this model is limited to the calculation of the average crushing force, for profiles with monotubular sections of single thickness and subjected to quasi-static loading. We have undertaken to extend this model to the case of multi-thickness sections and to the calculation of the instantaneous crushing force by taking into account the phenomena of buckling and post-buckling. Multitubular section profiles are experiencing a considerable development. In order to increase our field of validity to this type of sections, a campaign of experimental and numerical tests has been carried out. By idealization of collapse facies and formulation of energy dissipation zones, we have led to the development of two new kinematic models. Our field of application concerns the study of impact behaviour. All these models have been extended to dynamic loading mode by taking into account inertia and deformation speed. Finally, the new concept of global or hybrid approach, coupled with kinematic models to feed equivalent elements, has been validated on two industrial cases.
