Réseaux de capteurs sans fil : minimisation de la consommation d'énergie et application à la localisation de cibles

Abstract : Wireless sensor networks show promising potentialities in economical sectors and current life, as environment preservation and control, supervision of .manufacturing tools, transport automation and health industries. The design and implementation of sensor networks involve a number of scientific knowledges. The energy resources of these networks is generally limited, imposing constraints on the design of the physical layer and communication protocols.In this work, our attention is focused on communication and energy consumption minimization, together with target localization using wireless sensor networks. In the first three chapters, a synthesis of wireless sensor networks field is presented. We discuss about their advantages, drawbacks and application areas and introduce collaborative processing. We describe the most used communication standards and routing protocols. In fourth chapter, we present our contribution to energy consumption minimization in the routing process and to optimal sensor nodes positioning. Our algorithms are supported by simulations and a comparison with results published in the litterature. The fifth chapter is devoted to the study of fixed target localization. This presentation is complemented by the preparation of an experimentation plan
