Comptage de particules par ultrasons haute fréquence focalisés : application au génie biologique et médical

Abstract : The particle counting techniques constitute a very important field in the biomedical area. Our aim, in this work, is to design a new, original, method for this purpose, to implement it, and to show its feasability. Using high frequency focused ultrasound provides a direct counting method, without neither dilution nor deterioration of the media. All parts of our system are theoretically analysed and a simple linear model is developped for the counting process. We describe the realization of our prototype. The principle is finally validated using different experimental media, such as latex spheres suspensions, tetrahymenas and human blood.
