Stratégie d'étude de la baisse des températures de forgeage appliquée à un alliage de cuivre Cu-Ni-Si

Abstract : The decrease of the forging temperature would represent a source of significant energy savings for the industries. However, such a modification has inevitably an impact on the process feasibility. This communication reports the scientific strategy developed to tackle this problem applied to a forged part in a copper alloy Cu-Ni-Si. The first stage of this strategy involves the characterization of the effective material and forging process. A fine analysis of these results highlights a strong material-process coupling. Knowing the limits of workability of the material deformed under the conditions encountered in the forming process is necessary to optimize this process. An optimization loop linking a numerical model of the process and a workability study would identify the minimum temperatures allowed for this process.
