Modèle décisionnel orienté comportement fondé sur le vote : Application à la navigation d'agents autonomes en environnement simulé

Abstract : AUTONOMOUS VIRTUAL ACTORS ARE AGENTS THAT MOVE IN DYNAMIC AND CONTINUOUS ENVIRONMENTS. THEY MUST TAKE DECISION IN REAL TIME TO ADAPT THEMSELVES TO THEIR ENVIRONMENT. THEREFORE, THEY HAVE TO INCLUDE EFFICIENT DECISIONAL MODEL. THE BEHAVIOUR BASED DECISIONAL MODELS ARE WELL SUITED TO THIS KIND OF PROBLEMS. THEY ARE BASED ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT A DECISION MAKING PROCESS CAN BE SHARED AMONG SEVERAL ENTITIES (CALLED BEHAVIOURS). THE MAIN DIFFICULTY OF ITS APPROACH IS TO SELECT A GLOBAL DECISION FROM THE PROPOSITIONS SUGGESTED BY THE BEHAVIOURS. WITHIN THIS CONTEXT, THE VOTE HAVE GOT MANY ADVANTAGES. HOWEVER, IT DOESN'T ALLOW TO SELECT ACTIONS IN A CONTINUOUS SET AND USES WEIGHTS THAT BIAS THE SELECTION. OUR CONTRIBUTION CONSIST IN A MODIFICATION OF THE BEHAVIOUR COORDINATION VOTING METHOD. OUR PROPOSITION ALLOWS TO SELECT ACTIONS IN A CONTINUOUS SET, TO USE FINELY GRAINED BEHAVIOUR AND IT PROCEEDS TO THE VOTE IN A DIFFERENT WAY. WE APPLY THE DECISIONAL MODEL TO THE REACTIVE AUTONOMOUS NAVIGATION IN VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS. THE TESTS GIVE PROOF OF THE MODEL INTEREST AND DON'T USE ANY WEIGHTS. THE RESULTS IN STATIC ENVIRONMENT SHOW THAT THE DECISIONAL MODEL IS ABLE TO ACHIEVE A GOAL WHILE TACKING IN ACCOUNT THE CONSTRAINTS AND PERSISTING IN ITS CHOICES. THE RESULTS IN DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENTS DECREASE WHEN THE NUMBER OF AGENTS ARE HIGHER THAN TWENTY. THE ACTION SELECTION PROBLEM IS ESSENTIAL. THEREFORE, THIS RESEARCH WILL HAVE SEVERAL FUTURE WORKS, PRACTICAL ONES (SIMULATION OF COUPLE OR GROUPS OF AGENTS) AND THEORETICAL ONES (LINKING WITH A MORE ABSTRACT REASONING MODULE).
